Green Deal aims to reduce carbon and save energy bills.
Each year our homes generate around 35% of all the carbon gases in the UK. This needs to be drastically reduced if we are to meet our crucial climate change commitments.
Green Deal aims to reduce carbon and save energy bills
Each year our homes generate around 35% of all the carbon gases in the UK. This needs to be drastically reduced if we are to meet our crucial climate change commitments.
So the government has introduced Green Deal, a special financial initiative to encourage householders and landlords to have this very important work carried out.
Green Deal provides a special loan system available to virtually everyone who owns a property and wants to make it much more energy efficient. In simple terms, the money is a loan on your property and comes from your utility supplier, who provides the work (the Provider).
The Green Deal loan can be repaid as part of your energy bill. But because the energy efficient improvements should be cost effective, in theory your running costs could be lower making the repayments on the loan more reasonable?
As the loan is on the property and not the individual, when you come to sell your home, the new buyer takes over the loan commitment.
Your home’s energy efficiency requirements will be closely looked at by an Assessor. He or she will then pass your home’s requirements to your Provider who will instruct the work to be done by fully insured, qualified and certificated tradesmen.

All you have to do is sit back, relax and your home’s vital energy-saving improvements will be completed to the highest possible standard?
