As the NHIC marks its 50th anniversary, we’re proud to host the Knowledge Hub at this year’s InstallerSHOW—a dedicated space for in-depth conversations on building safety, installer competency, sustainability, consumer protection, and mental health in the trades.

Day 1 – Tuesday 24 June 2025
Focus Theme: Regulation, Skills & Responsibility

Get to grips with the latest legislation impacting installers, from the Building Safety Act to evolving scheme requirements. This session features TrustMark, HSE, Envirovent, DBT, and LABC—all unpacking what compliance means in 2025.

From entry-level certifications to PAS 2035 and retrofit coordination, this panel explores how we train the workforce of the future. CORGI Skills, CIOB, GQA, and others will highlight opportunities—and wellbeing challenges—facing today’s professionals.
🕒 3:00 PM – Lessons from the Grenfell Inquiry

What went wrong? What has changed? This sobering session looks at how installer responsibility has evolved in the wake of Grenfell, and how the Building Safety Act aims to create safer homes across the UK.

Featuring RetrofitWorks, LABC, and Deborah Stephenson from CORGI Services, this session balances health & safety with on-site productivity—addressing everything from mental health to toolbox talks.
🕑 2:00 PM – Safety in Specific Home Improvement Installations
Covering fire, water, air, and roof safety, this multi-perspective panel with NAPIT, NFRC, BMA, Fernox, and others delves into what’s often overlooked in everyday installations.
🕒 3:00 PM – Workplace Safety for Home Installers
In collaboration with Band of Builders and FMB, we’ll explore fall prevention, dust exposure, and safe working practices—alongside open conversation on how mental health and site safety go hand in hand.

Focus Theme: The Future of the Profession
