The Double Glazing & Conservatory Ombudsman Scheme (DGCOS) was set up to provide comprehensive consumer protection to UK homeowners buying double glazing, a conservatory or associated products.

Launched nationally in January 2010, DGCOS is endorsed by TV consumer champion and Architect George Clarke. DGCOS is the first scheme in the double glazing industry to provide this level of protection for homeowners and installers.

Homeowners who employ a scheme member receive deposit protection, work in progress insurance and an insurance backed guarantee. Homeowners and members also have access to alternative dispute resolution.
