Mike Smith

After just 6 years in the industry, in 1983 Mike founded and is MD of  Corniche Construction Ltd an SME which puts into practice all the knowledge learned ‘on the job’, initially within the family firm, then branching out to other Companies to develop and enhance his skills.  

The firm continues to grow and flourish with the mantra of ‘Building Relationships’. A Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Building, he was a Trustee for two terms (6 years) served on various boards, been part of CEO recruitment, the Rules Review and a considerable amount of other work.

He sits as a member of the Professional Conduct Committee and acts in Consultancy role in Dispute Resolution, Contractual and Technical matters at Brant Associates as well as on his own.  Mike is a strong believer in taking a pride in one’s work, respect and collaborative working.

He is passionate about competency, education, personal development and a sense of belonging, all within a strong and transparent leadership.  Mike is married with a string of children, both his and inherited who help inspire him and keep him working!
