About BFRC

BFRC is the UK’s most trusted rating council, with the most widely used rating system for energy performance in window and doors.

It provides installers and homeowners evidence that window and door products will perform as promised by measuring energy performance and then awarding ratings between A++ and E. Rated products are labelled with an official sticker on the inside of the frame proving the rating is genuine and a large rainbow label on the surface of the window or door.

BFRC collaborates across the glazing industry to raise standards. For manufacturers and across the supply chain the rainbow ratings act as a consumer-friendly way to demonstrate product performance. It also works closely with FENSA, giving all FENSA approved installers access to the BFRC rating system free of charge.
