The National Home Improvement Council (NHIC) is a value-based membership organisation whose primary aim is to encourage the safe and efficient refurbishment of the UK’s existing homes across the private and social housing sectors to improve living standards and reduce fuel poverty.
The NHIC uses expertise from across its membership to support consumers and bring about positive change for UK homes.
Since 1974 the NHIC has been working with members and partners to bring every home up to modern living standards, to help save money on improvements and reduce household bills.

The National Federation of Roofing Contractors (NFRC) actively ensures that all its members offer high standards of professionalism and sound business practice through a strict code of practice and vetting procedure, including site inspections and adhering to Government endorsed standards. The Federation also offers training services, technical advice and represents member interests to the wider construction industry and government.

Quality Assurance (QANW) is an insurance intermediary company offering a range of insurance backed guarantees and deposit protection policies.
QANW work closely with building contractors and trade associations all over the British Isles, to allow them to offer an additional degree of consumer protection for their products and standards of professionalism.
The consumer protection offered comes in the form of insurance policies in favour of the householder. These are issued directly by QANW to the householder whenever work is carried out by a participating contractor.
